I would like to share my personal experience with Colgate toothpaste and Triclosan, one of the ingredients in most of their toothpastes.
I am a cancer survivor and had radiotherapy to the head and neck region. As a result, even a decade after treatment ended, a common after effect among patients like myself is dry mouth.
In the past two months, I had been experiencing very extreme and increasing dryness, ever since I started used Colgate Professional Clean toothpa ... ste. Finally I put on my reading glasses and scrutinized the ingredients list and discovered Triclosan was the second ingredient on the list ( food labels must list ingredients must always listed in descending order of prominence). maternity wears for wedding at affordable price
I immediately disposed the Colgate toothpaste and started using my usual favorite, Sensodyne toothpaste. I am happy to share that the dryness in my mouth is reduced within just a few days and slowly but surely improving.
Though triclosan in Colgate toothpastes has been a controversial subject for more than a decade and when there are so many other safer ingredients that could be used, I wonder why does Colgate persist in using Triclosan?
