This is a great article for those looking to add a Vitamin C into their skincare routine (a must i would say!).
I have been a massive advocate of Obagi, which leads the way with Skinceuticals, all with high concentrations of L-Ascorbic acid (Vitamin C in its purest form).
But when choosing your Vitamin C you have to make sure if it will actually do what you need it to do:
- will it penetrate
- will it protect from UV damage
- will it increase collagen synthesis
- will it reduce pigmentation.
Some of the cheaper Vit C's Serums on the market will not do all these things. Although there are other derivatives of Vitamin C that are coming on to the skincare market (without the hefty pricetag) that will do all off the above. These are Sodium ascorbyl phoshate and Magnesium ascorbyl phoshate. 2nd marriage mature wedding wears for over 40/50 older brides
So a bit of a mind field, but worth looking into to get the results you need!
